Turn Your Hobby Into a Business
What do you love doing in your free time? Is it creating something? What do your friends and family say when they see it? Hear it? Taste it? Maybe it’s time for you to consider a business out of your hobby.
DISCLAIMER: This is not an easy process. This is something that you should consider long and hard before taking action on it. It will be a business, after all, and that is not to be taken lightly. Although you will be doing something that you love, making sure that you make and don’t lose money will have to be a focus.
Getting that out of the way…giving yourself financial freedom by doing something that you love — rocks!
Here are some questions to ask yourself:
- Will anyone buy what I am making? How will they buy it? For how much?
- How will people find me/my products?
- How much will it cost me to mass-produce?
- How can I get help making my product?
- Can I do it at home?
- What regulations are in place for my sort of business/product?
- Do I have the time right now?
- Who can help me with this?
This is just a starter to get the ball rolling. Speak with people that you know who have their own businesses. This is the perfect time to start bouncing ideas off of family and friends.
